REPORTS
On Friday evening Bala Town got their season off to a flyer at home to Mynydd Isa. Isa seemed to Bala v Isahave weathered the storm thanks some some excellent saves from new keeper Ben Jones only to concede a penalty five minutes before the break when Barry Calder felled Neil Fisher, Alec Stacey slotting home the resulting spot kick. Fisher increased the lead at the start of the second half and further goals from Warren Duckett, Stacey and substitute Marc Griffths got Bala's season off to the perfect start. On Saturday Llangefni Town had to rely on a last minute controversial penalty to steal the points at Llandyrnog United. Kevin Lloyd converting. Buckley Town scored either side of half time through Mark Roberts and Alan Dawson to take the points at Guilsfield who replied through Dylan Ellis. Ruthin Town had a great opening day victory at fancied Llandudno, Mike Garrod gave them the lead only for Joe Morgan to equalise. Kevin Breeze scoring a seventy fifth minute minner for Ruthin.
