REPORTS
Only two games escaped the rain and leaders Bala took advantage to open Gary Penlingtona gap at the top. Wes Breretton gave them a fifth minute lead at home to Guilsfield and the prolific Gary Penlington (left)with a double, (sixth in his last three games) and one from full back Darren Hignett Marc Evans made it four nil at the break. Sam Thomas reduced the deficit in the second half but Gethin Lloyd had the final word with Bala's fifth. Holyhead Hotspur also took an early lead in their home games against Denbigh Town, Marc Evans (right) netting his sixth goal in the last four games. Denbigh equalised early in the second half with a Kenny Burgess penalty and in a grand stand finish Burgess must have thought he had won the game for Town with a eighty fourth minute strike. Holyhead had other ideas with substitute Ian Williams scoring an eighty sixth minute equaliser and then getting upended in the penalty area to give Marc Evans the opportunity to score his second of the match from the resulting penalty
