GLANTRAETH FOOTBALL CLUB

Champions of the Welsh Alliance in 1996/7, Glantreath became members of the Cymru Alliance, finishing fifth in their first two seasons.
Runners-up to Oswestry Town in 2000, Glan then experienced a slump the following season, which saw then agree a merger with Anglesey neighbours Llangfeni Town.
The merged club finished second behind Welshpool Town in 2001/2, but disagreements resulted in the clubs being de-merged after just one season.
After demotion to the Alliance, Glantraeth promptly bounced back and in 2003/4 reached the quarter-finals of the Welsh Cup, before a 4-1 defeat at TNS.
They achieved runners-up spot in 2004/5, but did not apply for promotion to the Welsh Premier.
