




Glantraeth have parted company with manager Paul Whelan and hope to make a new (Stan Strickland) WHELAN JOINS PORTHMADOG FORMER player Paul Whelan has been confirmed as the new manager of Porthmadog. The appointment was widely expected after Glantraeth announced on Friday that Whelan was leaving after a highly successful period at the Cymru Alliance outfit, leading them to second place in 2004/5 and the following season to the league and cup double. A statement from Port says: "He (Whelan) had become disenchanted with Glantraeth’s inability to match his ambitions for the club and had determined to leave. |
