Nomads reach final of FAW Futsal Cup

GAP Connah's Quay reached the final of the FAW's inaugural Futsal Cup on Sunday, narrowly missing out on a place in Europe.

Eight teams from across Wales contested the finals in Cardiff at the Futsal arena in Cardiff.

Whilst the concept of Futsal let alone the specific rules are new to players, coaches and officials, the standard on show was of a very good quality.

Two groups of four teams meant clubs were contesting for the top two places in the group to progress to the semi finals.

Nomads beat the eventual winners The New Saints in the group stage, but lost 7-4 to the Saints in the final.
