PENRHYNCOCH Football Club has announced a significant change to the football operations structure at Cae Baker.

Current manager Kevin Jenkins has stepped into a director of football role, where he will oversee all aspects of football-related business at the club as well as overseeing the development of youth.

"With so much progress made on and off the pitch, the Roosters have decided to adopt a more continental structure," says Jenkins.

"Last year's club captain Gari Lewis will take over as manager and all responsibilities on recruitment and retention of players. The new structure will be Gari as manager, Gavin Allen as head coach and Iwan Roberts’ as conditioning coach.

"We look forward to Gari, Gavin and Iwan forming a great working relationship over the coming months as we look to continue our progress in the league. The level of experience between all three will surely benefit all aspect of the club.

"As one of the biggest community clubs in the area, we are determined to focus on preparations for next season and increasing youth development through all levels here at Penrhyncoch.

"The club has come so far in a short space of time, hence the need to re-structure, and my job is to now ensure that we can drive it forward to the next level - having Gary, Gav and Iwan will only help us do that."

Gari commented; "It’s a great opportunity for me to develop myself as manager and our main aim is to develop and progress as a team and as a club.

"With securing the services of Gav as head coach and Iwan who has a BA degree in Sport Health and Exercise Fitness the future looks bright for the club."
