Penycae kick off the new season

Newly promoted Penycae kick off the season with a Welsh National Presidents cup game.

Penycae back in the Huws Gray Alliance after an eleven year absence kick the season off on Saturday 6th. August when they entertain Gresford Athletic in the Welsh National league Presidents trophy.

Penycae have strenghtened their squad during the summer with former Rhos Aelwyd players Ben Jones, Craig Hughes and Mike Pugh amoung the new arrivals.

Penycae manager Colin Parry said "It would be great to win a trohpy in the first game of the season but Gresford will be a tough team to beat"

The game kicks off at 2-30pm at Penycae's Afoneitha Road ground which will be a surprise to people who have not been there for a while, it is now completedly enclosed and includes seated spectator viewing and a covered enclosure
