Five HGA players represent Wales

Five players from clubs in the Huws Gray Alliance represented Wales.

Five players from the Huws Gray Alliance recently represented Wales in a under 18 semi professional game against the Republic of Ireland. Wales lost two nil but it was fantastic experience for the five player who were Shaun Tinsley, Aled Reece, Jamie Wynne (all Gap Connahs Quay). Alan Webb (Llandudno) and Dion Donohue (Porthmadog)

It is hoped that there will be further matches at this level in the future. Manager Terry Boyle commented: 'You could see from early-on that our lads were going to be up against it, as they had had very little preparation time. However, they stuck to their task and it will be a great memory for them in years to come to say that they played for Wales. Hopefully, some will make decent careers for themselves and have further chances of honours as they progress in the game"
