Porthmadog break in

Police seeking break-in information

North Wales Police are urging members of the public who have any information regarding a New Year’s Eve break-in at the Traeth to come forward as they could provide the vital assistance needed to make an arrest. Scenes of Crime Investigators have been able to gather important evidence at the Clubhouse, Canteen and Club Shop.

Club officials visiting the Traeth were dismayed to find the serious damage caused to the property during the enforced entry and this in addition to the loss of money, wines and spirits and canteen stock all of which will need replacing before the next home match on 7 January and ahead of events planned at the clubhouse.

It is a anything but a happy New Year for the small group of volunteers at Porthmadog whose sole aim is to provide the town with a team that can compete at the highest level of football within Wales.

The events of New Year’s Eve place an extra burden on club volunteers and have caused serious damage to a facility which is there for the benefit of the whole community.
If you have any information which could be of value to the police in their detection work please contact the North Wales Police locally or at their Colwyn Bay HQ or speak to club officials.
